Gabriel, only 5 years old, was just recently brought to The Garden House. He was uniquely vulnerable because his father was arrested for drug use, possession, and dealing. Gabriel quickly met a friend of his father’s, who realized he was completely alone. However, a few days later he was also arrested; leaving Gabriel in total abandonment. Gabriel came to us with signs of physical and sexual abuse that had created an aggressive and temperamental personality.

He is working diligently with his teacher and therapists to step out of the life he had experienced and into a life more fitting for a young boy whose primary focus should be on school and playing with friends, not attempting to avoid abuse and battling fear and isolation.
