Alma Tucker is the founder and president of the International Network of Hearts (INH) based in San Diego, CA, and Red Binacional de Corazones (RBC), which is based in Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico. Alma has more than 30 years of experience assisting survivors of human trafficking and advocating for their rights in the border region.
For more than a decade, Alma worked as an investigative officer for the Child Protection Unit with the Mexican Consulate General based in San Diego, CA. She is a licensed psychologist and serves as an academic honorary member of the National Commission of the Ministry of Interior to Prevent, Suppress and Punish Human Trafficking in the Country of Mexico.
Alma is also the founder of La Casa Del Jardin/The Garden House, the only group home in Baja California designed for children (one home for boys and one home for girls) recovering from human trafficking.
INH and RBC are nongovernmental sister organizations that support survivors of human trafficking. Both provide training and education at an interdisciplinary and binational level to authorities, first responders, civic groups, faith based groups, and public/private schools.
