Beginning at the age of 5, Carolina was forced into the production of child pornography and trafficked for sex by her parents to the point of being physically unable to stand. Her parents would offer her to American men to be raped in exchange for money. They would then use this money to support their drug addiction, rather than care for their family of seven. Carolina was also responsible for caring for her 4 younger siblings, even while being trafficked daily until her rescue at age 12.

She has done extensive work in therapy toward healing and today is thriving as a full time employee preparing to attend a university this year. She admits that the hardest part about her abuse wasn’t the countless times she was raped: it was all the people who saw what was happening and did nothing to help. She is committed to ensuring other children aren’t left stranded the way she was until International Network of Hearts came into her life.
