Armando is the only boy of five siblings and was taught at a very young age that his responsibility as a member of his family was to earn an income, even if that meant selling his body. His parents also convinced him that this type of behavior was completely normal and that he was simply playing his part in providing for their family. He was sold to both men and women; whoever was willing to pay for sex, or sexual acts.
When he was rescued, Armando battled issues with anger as he became aware that his abuse was anything but normal. His anger stemmed from questioning his worth, everything he ever thought to be true, and the reality that all of his siblings were enduring the same abuse, all at the hands of his parents.
